I'm so excited to "find" these treasures again. Forty years ago as a teenager, I was in love with these clouds of minty marshmallow cream enrobed in chocolate. Then, for some reason, these delights disappeared from the shelves and I thought perhaps Mr. Russell Stover stopped production. Apparently not; you just have to know where to look. I found my stash at the pharmacy at Virginia Mason's Federal Way Clinic.
If you've never had a Mint Dream, you'd best remedy this situation. Ahhhh.
Sounds heavenly. I have never had the pleasure but will look locally before I resort to ordering online.
ReplyDeleteI think the combo of mint and chocolate is my all time favorite thing in the whole wide world. A mint chocolate chip hot fudge sundae is my weak spot.
ReplyDeleteSadly, the recipe has been changed. The mint flavor is negligible. The mint used to be so strong and wonderful, but it's barely noticeable now. I purchased the Milk Chocolate Mint Dream, not the Dark Chocolate, so maybe the Dark Chocolate Mint Dream still contains the strong minty flavor as it originally did 30+ yrs. ago. Big disappointment.
