Happy Saturday
This is what brought me JOY yesterday. We found a great Mexican restaurant on the main drag in Monroe, Washington called Tijuana. It's the real deal, a find in a land dominated by Northwest cuisine. We drove an hour each way in the rain to enjoy lunch, seated in a booth at this family run business with these two wonderful people, Chris and his girlfriend Heather. Laughs and good food shared with those we love. What could be better?

Thanks for stopping by my blog and reminding me of that old entry. What a cute picture!
ReplyDeleteHi, Kate,
ReplyDeleteI remember Monroe! Cool town. Thanks for your nice comments about my posting about L.A. But you should know that the Pacific NW is just as wonderful. I lived there from 1979 to 1996, and absolutely loved it.
Well - of course, you probably DO know how wonderful it is, living there. I guess I should amend my comment to say, "you should probably know how wonderful I think the PNW is!"
Anyway - It is really rewarding for me when people like you write nice things about what I write about.
Curtsey, Curtsey. I guess watching Award shows makes me get all foolish.
There's nothing better than a good meal shared with those we love.
ReplyDeleteWe discovered a Peruvian restaurant a few years ago here in SF that makes the BEST quesadillas! YUM!
ReplyDeletewow that sounds amazing! I wish I could have been there. There is a pretty good Mexican restaurant in Florence by the same name.
