I am originally from Italy and my mom and dad (to whom I am very close) still live there. I think sometimes we both feel like you described in your Easter post. Sometimes life is just what it is. Living in the present moment does not change the situation. For me it is a survival strategy, but it does not guarantee calm and peace.
