A Splash of Red

This tree and its two sisters fascinate me. I look at this group of three through winter, spring, summer and fall, mesmerized by the cycle of bare, new green, progressive shades of red, and bare over and over and over again. Today (yes today, June 16), there are a few red leaves amidst the sea of green. Always looking forward to autumn these trees, playing with the next phase, dabbling in the experience.

  1. We have a few of those weather challenged trees too...it's the foggy days that make them think it's fall around here.

  2. I saw a report that it snowed in New Jersey this week. I would rather have a red leaf on a maple tree, which is beautiful to look at and doesn't require removal.
